Description
The 2015 Field Employees' Safety Handbook is now in Spanish.
This Handbook is designed to provide a resource for safety information that the elevator industry field employees shall use to help prevent injuries and illnesses resulting from unsafe acts and/or conditions.
The intent of the Handbook is to promote job site safety through adherence to OSHA safety regulations and by defining recommended safe work practices affecting the elevator industry and other trades working with us.
This Handbook is intended to augment a company safety program. It is not intended to be used as the total company safety program (policy). All elevator industry employees should familiarize themselves with the contents of this Handbook. The safety procedures apply to all persons working on elevator, escalator, moving walk, material lift and dumbwaiter equipment directly employed by elevator companies, inspection companies and AHJ's who qualify with proper training.
Edited by the NEII Safety Committee to include the most up-to-date safety procedures for protection of field employees on every construction site or maintenance job.
