- How elevator-industry personnel can get involved in the A17 code-development process and participate in A17 code committee meetings
- The history of the development and application of the A17 code from its inception in 1921 to the present
- The format of the A17 code and which parts cover which aspects of elevator-industry equipment design, installation and maintenance
- How the A17 code is administered and enforced and how it can be accessed and utilized by elevator-industry personnel
